We climbed over two passes - Donahue and Island - and are now at a campsite beside a glacial lake called Garnet Lake. Donahue pass was 11,060 feet high, highest we have been so far, and none of us are showing any signs of altitude sickness, thank goodness.\n\nLast night we arrived at camp just as a thunderstorm moved in. We covered our packs, donned rain jackets, and waited for a half hour, until a lull in the rain let us throw up our tents and dive in. I think we all took two hour naps waiting for the rain to stop.\n\nWhen we resupplied at Tuolumne Meadows two days ago we were surprised by a package of all sorts of snacks and goodies sent to us from Kleenex. She is such a sweetheart. Then to top off the town stop, friends of the Troverts invited us to their home for showers, laundry, and a wonderful meal of steak, chicken, salad, fresh corn on the cob, and brownies, watermelon, and ice cream.   What a feast we had!\n\nTomorrow we should be at Reds Meadows for our next resupply. I hope I can get a signal to upload this message. Deadeye and I are doing well -  sore feet at times and a pain I think may be related to my broken shoulder - but pushing on into the Ansel Adams Wilderness. ong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1064","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-outdoors"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1064","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=1064"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1064\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1065,"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1064\/revisions\/1065"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=1064"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=1064"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dalelafferty.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=1064"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
